১. Subject-Verb Agreement গোল্ডেন রুলস চার্ট

• One of / Neither of / Each of + Plural Noun ➔ Singular Verb (যেমন: One of the boys was absent).
• Subject + as well as / with / along with + Subject ➔ ১ম Subject অনুযায়ী Verb.
• Either…or / Neither…nor ➔ ২য় Subject (নিকটবর্তী Subject) অনুযায়ী Verb.
• The + Adjective (যেমন: The poor, The virtuous) ➔ Plural Verb (The poor are happy).
• It is high time + Subject ➔ Verb-এর Past form (V2) (It is high time we changed our policy).

💡 ব্যাখ্যা: ‘Each of’, ‘Either of’, ‘Neither of’, ‘One of’ এর পর Plural Noun বসলেও Verb সর্বদা Singular হয়। যেহেতু বাক্যটিতে ‘yesterday’ রয়েছে, তাই অতীত নির্দেশক Singular verb ‘was’ হবে।
